Summer Hiking Safety Tips

Cincinnati hiking expert and author Tammy York shared with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital┬ásome tips for staying safe while out on the trail with the family this summer. From carrying enough water (at least 6 oz/person/mile) and DEET-free protection from insects/critters to tips on how to keep the kids from bickering on the trail, Tammy urges us to, “Have a great time on the trails and share your experience with the rest of us. You just might be the one who encourages someone else to get outside and enjoy a hike!”
